Sparked by discussions about Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and the myriad creative possibilities under the theme of gods and monsters - science & ethics, good & evil, literary & film references, campy & deadly serious - this thematic exhibit highlights the work of UCCS' Visual Art faculty.
Part of CROSS-CREATION: gods & monsters - the second bi-annual city-wide creative project organized by GOCA UCCS and Colorado Springs arts and culture organization. Featuring contemporary art exhibits, lectures, film events, panel discussions, tastings, and even a LUNCHBEAT dance party, CROSS-CREATION: gods & monsters will inspire dialogue around the many ideas presented - on a city-wide scale.
Collaborators include: the Business of Art Center, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Colorado College's IDEA Space, Marmalade @ Smokebrush, Pikes Peak Community College's Downtown Studio Gallery, and UCCS' Galleries of Contemporary Art (GOCA121).
