GOCA 121 is the University's satellite gallery in downtown Colorado Springs. The space opened in February 2010, and is the product of a great partnership between UCCS and Nor'wood. 121 features work by locally, nationally and internationally renowned professional artists and hosts many of GOCA's signature programs.
GOCA 121 is located in downtown Colorado Springs in the Plaza of the Rockies building.
Thanks to all of the UCCS staff, volunteers and supporters of GOCA who made this a great night - we celebrated the arts and raised money for future gallery programs. It was amazing!
Very fun and lively! I learned about left-hand writing contests following the American Civil War--encouraging amputees who'd lost their right arms to improve penmanship with their left hands and some of the history of rum. We also tasted three rums and learned to make planter's punch. All in all an enjoyable time.
GOCA and Downtown Colorado Springs are always so pretty this time of year!
