Student Exhibition: (im)possibilities

(im)possibilities features semester-long projects from students in the Advanced Photography class at UCCS. This exhibition will include an opening reception with refreshments on Friday, May 4th from 4 pm - 8 pm with an artist talk at 6:15 pm at the Heller Center Studio. Projects from the following students are featured: Caroline Bodnar, Caleb Busak, Joshua Dorado, Alexis Fletcher, Samantha Golanoski, March Gotthoffer, Henry Knauer, Karlton Lauer, Jacquie Leindecker, Rachel Marlof, Joshua Moore, Melia Qualls, Victoria Schroeder, and Bethany Tindell.

Also on view: Photo Conversation, a collaborative project between students in Abbey He! pner’s Advanced Photography course at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and students in Meggan Gould’s Intermediate Photography course at the University of New Mexico. UNM and UCCS students were paired anonymously. Over the course of three weeks, they took turns making photographs that responded to each other's work. This resulted in a photographic conversation that was exhibited at UNM in March of 2018. Students from UCCS traveled to Albuquerque and, for the first time, saw the initial prompt that was given to the UNM students that started the conversation. This collaborative project lead students to write letters to each other, asking questions about their thought process and inspiration throughout the silent exchange.

Opening reception on May 4th from 4 pm - 8 pm, with an artist talk at 6:15 pm.

The exhibition is on view Friday May 4th, 4 pm - 8 pm and Saturday May 5th, 11 am - 2 pm.
